AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI, TO DONATE A CERTAIN SUM OF MONEY TO THE GEORGE OHR ART MUSEUM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Gulfport, Mississippi, are authorized, in their discretion, to donate to the George Ohr Art Museum, from any available funds, an amount not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) during Fiscal Year 1999-2000, Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) during Fiscal Year 2000-2001 and Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) during Fiscal Year 2001-2002, to be used as matching funds to promote the establishment, construction and advertising of such museum.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
